M.A Media and Communication

M.A Media and Communication is a two-year course. Students are interested in pursuing a career in Media Management, Broadcast Journalism, Advertising, PR/Corporate Communication, Event Management, Social Media, and Bollywood and also acquiring the necessary skills in News Anchoring, Electronic Cinematography and Video Editing.

The program will teach them how to develop their own ideas and shoot quality programs under the supervision of expert faculty. Additionally, the program will train students in writing news packages, screenplays, and news reports. Students will learn how to conduct interviews, develop speaking and grooming skills, and prepare news packages and scripts.

Eligibility Criteria for M.A Media and Communication

1. Graduate in any stream from a recognised university, or Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (10+2+3) in any discipline.

2. Candidates should have secured a minimum aggregate score of 45% or more in subjects.

3. They must have a minimum aggregate of 55% to qualify for the program.

Admission Process

1. Colleges publish notice of admission on their website from June when most Indian universities would have finished degree exams.

2. Candidate to apply for each college, as each college considers each mark as the cut-off mark.

3. Some private colleges and deemed universities perform their counselling process by conducting their university-level entrance exams.

4. Some colleges require a minimum of 50% aggregate in the qualifying examination.

5. Candidates who qualify for the test are called for an interview before the final seat allotment.
